Some forces (push and pull) act through contact, others act from distance without touching the object.  Through inquiry and investigation children will find out how their toys move, whether the speed of an object is related to how strongly it is pushed or pulled, or shape of the object effects movement, and how to describe the position and motion of objects and effects of forces on the objects.

We will also use Rube Goldberg videos, small parts from popular children’s movies and the following Arts and Crafts to explore the topic.
